DC vs GT: Fans thrilled as Noor Ahmad and Rashid Khan take stellar catches to dismiss Delhi Capitals top-order

Delhi Capitals claimed a stellar 6 wicket victory in the reverse fixture, dismissing Gujarat Titans for just 89 runs at Ahmedabad

GT bowlers Noor Ahmad and Rashid Khan took two stellar diving catches to dismiss Delhi Capitals’ top order as Sandeep Warrier wreaked havoc during the DC vs GT clash in IPL 2024. In the fourth over of Delhi Capitals’ innings, Afghan spinner Noor Ahmad made quite an impact with two critical catches dismissing both openers. Rashid Khan added to the misery as Shai Hope was sent back to the dugout with only five runs.

Noor Ahmad dismisses Prithvi Shaw with a stunner

The first catch was routine, at deep square leg, dismissing Jake Fraser-McGurk. However, the second catch was a true stunner. When Sandeep Warrier bowled a short delivery, Prithvi Shaw went for a pull shot, not expecting Noor to do the unexpected. Noor sprinted in from deep backward square leg, diving sideways, and snatched the ball just inches off the ground. It was an incredible effort that set Gujarat Titans on a strong footing. The catch left the fans all over the internet thrilled.

Rashid Khan follows it up

With the top order faltering, Axar Patel and Shai Hope stepped in to stabilize Delhi’s innings. But Warrier was on a roll, striking again to send Hope back to the dugout. It was a good-length ball that shaped away, tempting Hope to go for a flashy drive, but he only managed to edge it to backward point. Rashid Khan, racing in from the deep, dove forward and grabbed a jaw-dropping two-handed catch. This left Delhi Capitals struggling at 44 for 3 by the end of the powerplay
