Speaking to comedian Danish Sait, also known as Mr Nags in the RCB set-up, Hasaranga said “That is (my wicket-taking celebration) Neymar’s celebration. He is my favourite footballer, so I follow it.”

Hasaranga reveals he started as a fast bowler – While the 24-year-old is considered as one of international cricket’s most promising leg-spinners at the moment, not many might know that he started out as a pure pacer.

Speaking about it on the RCB Insider video, he said “When I was playing school cricket, I was the fast bowler of the team. However, I did not bowl too fast. So my coach asked me to move to leg-spin.”
The move has certainly paid dividends as after impressing in the Sri Lankan kit, the INR 10.75 crores worth player is now showing his class in an RCB shirt. After the four-fer against KKR, Faf du Plessis would want his prized asset to pull off something similar in the upcoming clash against a high-flying Rajasthan Royals side on April 5.
