Another day and India Cricket Team continues to dominate England in the ongoing IND vs ENG 5th Test in Dharamshala. Day 2 saw the hosts unleash their fury on the Three Lions. Both Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma slammed their tons while Sarfaraz and Devdutt went on to register fifties as India took the task in their hands.

England bagged a couple of wickets early on the day before the Indian’s took charge. The visitors came back strongly post tea to trigger a batting collapse as India’s lower order crumbled under pressure. However, the damage was done. India went on to establish a healthy lead of more than 200 runs.

Shubman Gill switched gears early on Day 2. He raced to his century as did the Indian skipper. Rohit Sharma slammed his 48th International hundred to match the great Rahul Dravid. On the other hand, it was the new players to continued to showcase their mark on the game.

Sarfaraz Khan slammed his 3rd fifty in the series before being dispatched on the first ball post tea. Debutant Devdutt Padikkal too hogged the limelight for his Test fifty. Unlike his bowling, Ravichandran Ashwin disappointed with his bat. Ashwin was dimissed for a duck on his 100th Test appearance.

Coming to England’s bowling, Shoaib Bashir bagged a four-fer to trigger India’s collapse. Ben Stokes returned to bowling for the first time since Ashes and scalped Rohit Sharma on his first ball. Towards the end of the day’s play, Kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah continued to stitch a good partnership as India amassed a huge lead against the Three Lions. India ended Day 2 with a score of 473/8 with a lead of 255 runs
