From Yashasvi Jaiswal to Ravi Bishnoi, India U-19 World Cup Squad 2020: Where are they now and are they playing IPL 2024?

After a victorious tournament in 2018, the Indian U19 squad were the favourites to defend the title in the tournament held in South Africa in 2020. Despite suffering heartbreak against Bangladesh, several members of the 2020 Indian U19 squad have gone on to enjoy success in the IPL and the national set-up. With the IPL 2024 underway, let’s take a look at where the stalwarts are now.

Priyam Garg

The right-handed top-order batsman from Uttar Pradesh was India’s captain for the Under -19 World Cup in 2020, but he has failed to carry on in that rising trajectory since then. However, he was released ahead of the 2023 season and failed to make headlines in that season with the Delhi Capitals. He went unsold in IPL 2024 auctions.

Jurel is a teammate of Jaiswal in the IPL, with both playing for Rajasthan Royals. After being bought by RR in 2023, Jurel batted in the lower order and scored 134 runs in the 88 balls he faced last year, at a strike rate of 172.72. Jurel has started his 2024 stint on a good note with twin-twenties in RR’s games so far.
