Mitchell Santner injury update

Mitchell Santner is out for at least 5-6 weeks. NZC has confirmed that the all-rounder sustained a grade three ACL tear in his left shoulder. Santner had injured himself on April 23 while taking a catch. He’ll miss the one-off Test against Ireland and the first Test against England at Lord’s, with his availability for the remaining matches still uncertain.

Ashwin’s advice to Parag

Ravichandran Ashwin believes Riyan Parag must remember that he isn’t just a player but a captain of a franchise and an inspiration to many youngsters. Therefore, he has a responsibility. Ashwin was speaking about this regarding Parag getting caught up in a controversy after he was seen smoking an e-cigarette in the dressing room during a match.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s T20 record

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has become the first Indian fast bowler to take 350 wickets in T20 cricket. After taking a 3-fer against GT in Ahmedabad, Bhuvneshwar joined Yuzvendra Chahal in the elite list, who’s the only Indian spinner to get there. It’s taken the fast bowler 17 years and 325 matches to get there.

England’s unique T20 World Cup training

The England women’s cricket team will undergo a multi-day training camp with the England Army to improve decision-making skills, resilience, and the ability to handle pressure in high-stakes moments before a home Women’s T20 World Cup. Pakistan and England’s men’s cricket teams have done something similar in the past.

Another SRH player injured

SRH have signed 2026 Under-19 World Cup winner RS Ambrish as a replacement for Shivam Mavi, who has sustained a groin injury. The 18-year-old seam-bowling all-rounder hasn’t made his T20 debut yet but has featured for the Lyca Kovai Kings in the Tamil Nadu Premier League.

Two male players, who are members of Sri Lanka’s Under-19 men’s cricket team, were recently arrested after they were accused of filming women while they were bathing. The players have been released on bail of LKR 500,000 (approximately INR 1.50 lakh) and will appear in court again on May 25.
