The Battlegrounds Mobile India aka BGMI esports ecosystem is gearing up for a massive new grassroots tournament. Designed to discover and elevate the next generation of top-tier talent in India, the Trident IGNITE 2026: BGMI event has officially been announced. Aspiring teams across the country now have a dedicated, structured pathway to prove their skills against the best.
With a total prize pool of ₹15 lakh in two different levels, this tournament is likely to emerge as one of the biggest grassroots BGMI tournaments of the year.
Trident IGNITE 2026 Important Dates
Road to Masters is an open-for-all online tournament with a prize pool of ₹10 lakh. Applications can be done from July 13 to July 19, 2026.
The tournament starts with 1024 teams which are narrowed down via a series of qualifying rounds to reach the final round. Here is the complete schedule:
- Registrations: July 13 – July 19
- In-Game Qualifiers: July 27 – August 2 (1,024 teams)
- Round 1: August 10 – 15 (Top 256 teams)
- Round 2: August 20 – 23 (Top 64 teams)
- Quarterfinals: August 27 – 30 (Top 32 teams)
- Semifinals: September 3 – 6 (Top 16 teams)
- Road to Masters Finals: September 8 – 10

Top Teams Advance to Challengers vs Masters
The competition doesn’t stop there, at the Road to Masters Finals.
Top 8 teams from the finals would be eligible to participate in the Challengers vs. Masters round, in which they have to play against eight invited BGMI pro teams.
This invitational round is set to take place from 11th to 14th September, 2026, with an added prize pool of ₹5 lakh, making the overall prize pool of the tournament worth ₹15 lakh.
Trident IGNITE 2026 gives upcoming teams a rare opportunity to compete in a structured tournament that could help them gain recognition in the Indian BGMI esports scene.
