BGMI Esports Roadmap 2026: Four Official Events, 4 Open For All Event, and Awards

KRAFTON India Esports has officially revealed the BGMI Esports Roadmap for 2026, setting the tone for another thrilling year of competitive action in Battlegrounds Mobile India. The upcoming season is packed with four major official tournaments, four community-driven open competitions, and a prestigious award ceremony to honor top-performing players and organizations.

Addressing thousands of fans at the event, Sean Hyunil Sohn, CEO of KRAFTON India, said: The 2026 Roadmap is more than a tournament calendar – it’s a structured pathway for Indian gamers to rise from grassroots to the global podium. We have designed it with an intent to further the ecosystem: one that identifies emerging talent at the regional level, nurtures them through national competition, and gives them a chance to represent India internationally.”

Four Official BGMI Esports Tournaments in 2026

KRAFTON’s 2026 roadmap confirms a robust competitive calendar featuring four major official BGMI events spread across the year. Each tournament will give teams a chance to prove their dominance on national and global stages.

  • BGMI India Series (BGIS) 2026 — January: The year kicks off with BGIS, where both new and established teams battle for national glory.
  • BGMI Pro Series (BMPS) 2026 — May: The professional battleground featuring India’s top-tier rosters and invited teams.
  • BGMI Showdown (BMSD) 2026 — September: The mid-year faceoff event connecting domestic dominance to international opportunities.
  • BGMI International Cup (BMIC) 2026 — October: The highlight of the season, bringing India’s best teams face-to-face with top global competitors.

Speaking about the announcement, Karan Pathak, Associate Director – Esports, KRAFTON India, said: “With the 2026 Esports roadmap, our vision is to build a stronger, more inclusive ecosystem that supports both established and emerging talent. We want to give every player — from underdogs to champions — a platform to showcase their skill and represent India on the global stage. Through our expanded tournament circuit, we’re creating more opportunities, more recognition, and more pathways for Indian esports to grow, evolve, and shine internationally.”

Four Open-for-All BGMI Tournaments

Alongside the official tournaments, KRAFTON has confirmed four open community tournaments to nurture rising talent throughout the year. These competitions will provide aspiring players an avenue to showcase their skills and earn recognition within the esports ecosystem.

The open-for-all tournaments are scheduled as follows:

  • First Tournament: April 2026
  • Second Tournament: June 2026
  • Third Tournament: July 2026
  • Fourth Tournament: August 2026

KRAFTON India Awards 2025 Set for January 9, 2026

To celebrate excellence in Indian esports, KRAFTON India Esports has announced the KRAFTON India Awards 2025, scheduled for January 9, 2026. The annual awards will recognize standout players, teams, and creators who made an impact across BGMI and other KRAFTON titles.

With this roadmap, KRAFTON India strengthens its commitment to expanding the competitive ecosystem for BGMI in 2026.
