PUBG Esports is heading to İstanbul, Türkiye! The PUBG Global Championship 2026 is officially happening. It will take place from December 1 to 13. This battle royale showdown will be extremely intense.
Thirty-two top global teams will compete. They will play across nine exciting match days. A base prize pool of $1,500,000 is available. Fan crowdfunding will increase this total prize money. The winner becomes the ultimate global champion.

Fresh Qualification Rules
KRAFTON introduced a fresh qualification system this year. Teams no longer start at the exact same level. Past regional performance decides their starting point. Top teams will skip the early tournament stages. This rewards teams that played well all year. It makes regional matches much more important.
Three paths exist for tournament entry. Eight teams get Grand Finals Direct Invites. Eight teams enter Survival Stage Day 1. Sixteen teams begin in the Qualifying Stage.
Regional Slot Breakdown:
- Global Seeds (PGS): 8 slots
- Americas, China, EMEA: 4 slots each
- Korea, Thailand, Vietnam: 3 slots each
- APAC: 2 slots
- Wildcard: 1 slot
- Türkiye gets one special host region Wildcard slot.

How PGC 2026 Tournament Works
The event features three distinct competitive phases.
- Qualifying Stage (December 1) – Sixteen teams play on this opening day. The top eight advance to Survival Day 1. The bottom eight go to Survival Day 2.
- Survival Stage (December 2–6) – Sixteen teams fight daily during this phase. The top daily scorer automatically reaches the Finals. This happens for the first four days. On day five, remaining teams fight for four spots.
- Grand Finals (December 11–13) – The Grand Finals span December 11 to 13. Sixteen top teams will play fifteen final matches. The champion is crowned here!
Prize Pool and Crowdfunding
The main prize pool is $1,500,000. A Ranking Prize covers $1,310,000 of the total. Every competing team gets a guaranteed payout. A Special Prize awards $190,000 for amazing plays. Crowdfunding returns but with a big twist. Only the top eight finalists receive fan money. This gives huge rewards to the absolute best.
