NetEase Games and ZhuRong Studio have rolled out a massive New Year Update for their free-to-play open-world MMORPG, Sword of Justice. The latest update comes packed with fresh content, including a new story chapter, a new explorable map, a mysterious hero, creative leisure and PvP modes, new dungeons, and festive in-game events with special rewards for all players.

To mark the celebration, Sword of Justice is also hosting a spectacular Southeast Asian New Year event featuring popular Malaysian cosplayer Hakken.

Sword of Justice New Year Update: Hakken Brings Fang Chengyi to Life

Following the success of Thai actress Baifern as the game’s spokesperson, Sword of Justice continues connecting with its Southeast Asian fans through an exciting collaboration with Hakken. Known for his detailed costumes and striking performances, Hakken perfectly recreates Marquis Mingzhao Fang Chengyi, a fan-favorite character admired for his charm, intelligence, and inner complexity.

Through this portrayal, Hakken captures the character’s distinctive style and emotional depth, emphasizing Sword of Justice’s rich Eastern fantasy aesthetics and its growing bond with players across the region.

The update introduces a huge new area called the Celestial Plains, filled with scenic sub-regions such as Bloomfield of Dandelions, Violetmist Vale, and Clearwater Forest. Players can explore interactively by talking to animals, connecting with sacred trees, and discovering hidden treasures throughout the land.A mysterious new character named Ruan Ruan, who looks just like Xiao Nuan, enters the story, sparking curiosity about her true identity.

This new storyline expands the game’s world and offers fresh adventures for both newcomers and veteran players.

New Dungeons and Game Modes

Two challenging dungeons now await adventurers. In School Trial – Crimson Sands, players face the three masters of Valiant Camp—Zhang Shuye, Tieshou, and Chong Shidao—in a mix of combat and puzzle-solving. The new Group Dungeon, Sundance Inner City, tests teamwork and strategy as players band together to take down powerful enemies.

For those seeking lighter entertainment, a Leisure Mode called Hide-and-Seek lets players disguise themselves as grass, flowers, or animals and play fun social games with friends.A brand-new PvP mode, Immortal Strife, adds fast-paced survival matches with up to 60 participants competing in quick three-minute rounds where only the strongest survive.

The update also brings fresh outfits, special events, and login bonuses to ring in the new year with plenty of rewards.Players can now join the festive celebrations in Sword of Justice, available for free on PC, iOS, and Android.
