In a surprise reveal at The Game Awards 2025, Everstone Studio and NetEase Games officially announced the global launch of the mobile version of Where Winds Meet, the free-to-play open-world Wuxia action RPG. New Map Area: Roaring Sands
Coinciding with the mobile launch, the developers rolled out a major content update that unlocks the Roaring Sands, a new region within Kaifeng. Covering nearly one-third of Kaifeng’s map, this mysterious area lies by the Yellow River and is steeped in ancient prophecies and legends. Players will encounter new enemies and bosses such as the River Master, his mythical companion the Dragon King, and the formidable Feng Ruzhi.
New Sect: Velvet Shade Arrives Dec 14
Everstone also confirmed the addition of a brand-new Sect—Velvet Shade—coming on December 14, 2025. Known for mastering both dance and martial arts, Velvet Shade members blend grace with combat precision. Behind their elegant performances in the Revelry Hall, they serve as information relayers moving between factions. Only players with remarkable charm or temperament can earn initiation into this mysterious sect.
“We aim to introduce the Wuxia world of Where Winds Meet to even more players worldwide while giving existing fans the freedom to experience Jianghu anywhere,” said Beralt Lyu, Lead Producer of the game. “Anytime, anywhere, the Jianghu will always be within your reach.”
