Earlier this year, former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre was also tested positive for COVID-19.

WWE Raw: Rollins was supposed to compete at a WWE Live event

Seth Rollins was originally scheduled to compete at last night’s WWE Live event in Madison Square Garden. He was booked to compete in a triple threat match with Kevin Owens and the WWE Champion Big E. Besides Rollins, Big E, Becky Lynch, and Bianca Belair were also not present backstage at Madison Square Garden for undisclosed reasons.

WWE Raw: How will Seth Rollins’ COVID-19 affect WWE Day 1?

Seth Rollins getting tested for COVID-19 has come as a huge surprise. He was set to compete in the fatal 4-way WWE Championship match against Big E, Kevin Owens, and Bobby Lashley at the WWE Day 1 PPV event on January 1, 2022, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

With Rollins almost skeptical to compete at the PPV, it seems like the plans will change for good, and we may see this match turning into a triple-threat with Kevin Owens, Big E & Bobby Lashley competing. Below is the match card announced for WWE Day 1 PPV event thus far. 

  • WWE Championship- Big E (C) vs. Kevin Owens vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Seth Rollins (doubtful)
  • Universal Championship- Roman Reigns (c) vs. Brock Lesnar
  • Smackdown tag-team Championship- The Usos (c) vs. The New Day
  • Edge vs. The Miz
  • Raw Women’s Championship- Becky Lynch(c) vs. Liv Morgan
  • Drew McIntyre vs. Madcap Moss
