WWE News: Sonya Deville Names Her Inspiration for WWE Official Role
Earlier, Sonya Deville competed in tag tea action with Mandy Rose before her switch to WWE Official. Being in the role of WWE Official, Sonya Deville used her powers for personal grudges too. However, she also made various decisions and matches for other superstars during her role.
Recently, Sonya Deville appeared on the Pat McAfee Show where she revealed her inspiration for working as a WWE Official. Eventually, she named WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon, who inspired her.
“Stephanie McMahon is the most notable female to do it, obviously Vince McMahon’s daughter. She’s an amazing on-screen authority figure who sometimes gets her hands dirty, but the duality of kind of like part-time in-ring competition and being an official, I don’t really know if it’s been done by a female in this way,” Sonya Deville said. Sonya also revealed that she borrowed the infamous slap of Stephanie McMahon to use against Naomi, Queen Zelina, and Carmela. Stephanie McMahon’s infamous slap had shut many mouths during an on-screen brawl.

Initially, Sonya Deville misused her powers many times for personal grudges against Naomi and Ronda Rousey or to gain a title match against Bianca Belair. More likely, she set the matches according to her will to get the best benefit for her.

In the recent episode of Monday Night Raw, Sonya Deville fought against Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s championship. Although she started the match thrice to set the match to her advantage, she failed to win the title.
