WWE News: Drew McIntyre Compares Cody Rhodes to Himself
Recently, SmackDown Superstar Drew McIntyre compares Cody Rhodes to himself. The former WWE Champion mentioned how Cody totally changed himself and came back improving his skills and character to be one of the top superstars on the roster.
Recently, the Scottish Warrior appeared on Cultaholic Wrestling, where he talked about Cody Rhodes’ return to the company and his future plans for challenging Roman Reigns. During his conversation, McIntyre recalled his time when he left WWE earlier back in 2014 and compared himself to the former Intercontinental Champion.
“Much like myself, you know when I was gone from the company I had to kind of go and find who I was as a performer, and grow up as a man,” he said.” I think Cody has done exactly the same. It’s cool, and I’d seen him before he came back and was aware of that. But, it’s cool just to see him back in WWE, and I knew even when he was outside the company that he still had that chip on his shoulder.”

Earlier, Drew McIntyre left WWE in 2014 until he returned to the NXT brand in 2017. In 2017, McIntyre debuted as a face with a huge body structure and improved skills. Immediately upon his arrival on NXT, WWE booked him in the title picture, later becoming the NXT Champion.
Drew McIntyre to be Roman Reigns’ Next Opponent
On the recent tapping of Friday Night SmackDown, Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns confronted each other in the ring. During the contract signing for RK-Bro and The Usos, Roman Reigns showed up after a brawl broke up between the tag champs.

However, Reigns got a surprise when he saw Drew McIntyre heading to the ring in order to defend RK-Bro. Later, WWE fans saw Drew McIntyre unleashing a brutal attack, tossing Reigns in the ring.
It’s quite sure WWE has finally found Roman Reigns’ next opponent. Both men have already confronted each other in the back, but this time, it would be different to see Reigns and McIntyre in action for the Undisputed Universal Title.
