WWE News: Major update on John Cena’s possible WrestleMania 39 appearance
As far as his future in the company is concerned, there has been a lot of speculation about John Cena’s availability for next year’s WrestleMania. According to the latest report from Dve Meltzer from Wrestling Observer, Cena is working on his schedule to be present at the grandest stage of them all. He is said to have a packed first quarter of the next year. The report also suggests that Cena was in plans for a match with current US Champion Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39 but that was under the old regime.
“The belief is that Cena will be working WrestleMania but what we were told is that he’s working on his schedule to make sure it works, but the belief is that he’ll get it done. Cena will be unavailable to WWE through most of February and March due to filming a movie outside the U.S. At one point he was talked about for a match with Austin Theory at WrestleMania but that was with Vince McMahon in charge.”

WWE News: When was John Cena’s last match in WWE?
It has been more than a year since John Cena last stepped foot in the WWE ring. He wrestled his last match at Summerslam 2021 when he battled Roman reigns for the Universal Championship. Cena lost that match as Roman extended his mammoth reign as world champion that day.
