Earlier, the Scottish Warrior was scheduled to participate in an 8-man tag team match at WWE’s Live Event at Madison Square Garden. Unfortunately, he won’t be returning for the event as scheduled.

Recently, PWInsider gave an update on Drew McIntyre’s in-ring return for MSG and confirmed that he is not medically cleared for the show. Instead, the show will be headlined by The Usos vs Kevin Owens and Braun Strowman.

“WWE sources have confirmed that the reason a change was made to their Madison Square Garden main event on Monday 12/26 for the annual post-Christmas event is that Drew McIntyre will not be cleared to return to the ring by the time the show takes place.”

“McIntyre had been removed from the ring to heal what was termed “a minor injury” to us several weeks back and will not be able to return until the company’s medical protocol clears him to perform.”
