WWE News: John Cena WWE: The 30th December episode of WWE SmackDown will see the return of the iconic John Cena – one of the greatest babyfaces of all time. He will be teaming up with his former rival Kevin Owens to battle the duo of Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn. The above-mentioned episode will be the go-home episode of the year for the blue brand.
WWE News: Kevin Owens reveals the last text he got from John Cena
Last week’s episode of WWE SmackDown saw Roman Reigns and the Bloodline take center stage to cut an iconic promo. The Tribal Chief got on the mic to state that the night was supposed to be a good one for the Honorary Uce Sami Zayn but they were being troubled with the “KO” problem. After highlighting that he had the solution for the same, Reigns revealed that on the 30th December episode of the blue brand Zayn will be partnering with him to face Owens and a partner of the latter’s choice. Right at that moment, the giant screen aired footage of John Cena who professed that he got a text from Kevin Owens asking him to be his partner.
The former world champion then accepted the invite and put the entire faction on notice saying that they are going to bring the fight to the Bloodline in the particular episode. On the most recent episode of the Cheap Heat podcast, Kevin Owens spoke with Peter Rosenberg and highlighted that he and Cena are in touch and are strategizing for their upcoming match.
“We text here and there, but it’s really silly stuff. He’s very excited. In fact, the last text I got from him was ‘I LOVE WRESTLING’ in all caps, unprompted. I think it was like 1 a.m. too. I have no clue. I don’t really know where he was in the world,” Owens said. [H/T – Wrestling Inc.]

WWE News: John Cena last wrestled in WWE a year back in the summer
John Cena’s last batch came in 2021 when he battled Roman reigns for the Universal Championship at WWE Summerslam.
After a cagey battle, it was the Samoan who got the better of the Cenation leader. However, Cena did come back to WWE on June 27th to celebrate his 20th anniversary in the STamford-based organization.
