The American Nightmare responded to Strong’s challenge by revealing that the former North American Champion was the only guy he didn’t face from his list of 2016.

Rhodes took to Twitter to reply to re-tweeting Strong’s tweet.
“I’m game – only wrestler on the fabled list I didn’t get around to fighting *pen emoji* (But if that backbreaker happens, early retirement for me *crying laughing face emoji*),” Cody Rhodes tweeted in response to Roderick Strong.

There may be not many people aware of the list of Cody Rhodes, but for those who don’t here is a little bit of information. In 2016, Cody Rhodes was released from the WWE. Once his 90-day non-compete clause would end, there were certain things he wanted to do and accomplish.

He wrestled Kurt Angle, Katsuyori Shibata during a tag team match, and The Young Bucks during his AEW stint. Apart from Wrestling, Cody Rhodes also played a huge part in starting a Pro Wrestling company and is WWE’s biggest rival today in AEW.
Now as the Prodigal son has returned home, this one last match is possible. While both superstars wrestle on different brands, Strong and Rhodes are still under the WWE Umbrella. We hope the WWE Universe gets treated to this top-notch fantasy contest.
