In this post, we have come up with a special mention of some of the tip titles that could change hands early in 2022. So without any further ado, let’s plunge into this post.

WWE in 2022: The Universal Championship

Seems like Roman Reigns’ extraordinary merry run as the Universal Champion will come to a hiatus early this year. 2021 was all about him getting pushed as the company’s face or maybe to make him a god-like figure.

Universal Championship

Vince McMahon plans to make Roman Reigns the greatest Universal Champion of all time, and to make this possible, Roman needs to keep possession of the title until Royal Rumble PPV, scheduled for January 29. After Royal Rumble, Roman is rumored to face Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 38, where he could lose the Univeral Title and maybe take a hiatus from WWE for a while.

WWE Championship is the most coveted title in the company’s history and it seems like the current titleholder, Big E, could lose possession of the title, at or even before Wrestlemania 38 on April 3 & 4 in Dallas.

He isn’t rumored to face anyone at the Showcase of the Immortals & this could be an indication that he might not be present at the show as the WWE Champion. Bobby Lashley or Seth Rollins seems to be the perfect options right now to dethrone Big E.

WWE in 2022: Intercontinental Championship

The Intercontinental Championship has been barely defended since Shinsuke Nakamura held possession of the title in August 2021. Sami Zayn is the next threat to Shinsuke’s Intercontinental title, and it seems like he could be the one to end the nearly five months title run of the Japanese Superstar.
