WWE News: Triple H announces a new championship
This week on RAW, the Chief Creative Officer of WWE appeared, and he had good cause to be there—a new Title Belt needed to be unveiled. This week on RAW, Triple H unveiled a new title belt. Since early rumors and backstage chatter indicated that this belt was on the way, this was expected.
In his opening remarks, Triple H noted that Roman Reigns held the championship for nearly a thousand days. As a result, Triple H commented that Roman Reigns was wise to position himself such that he wouldn’t have to defend his championship as frequently. Roman Reigns will benefit significantly from it, but not WWE.
At that point, Triple H claimed that the WWE Draft 2023 would fundamentally alter the company since Roman Reigns would remain with whatever brand he was selected, while the other brand would choose a new champion.
WWE will announce a new World Heavyweight Champion on Saturday, May 27, at Night of Champions 2023. After then, Triple H unveiled a brand-new title that looked incredible. The Chicago crowd responded to this in a very favorable manner as well.
