On Saturday, it's going to be a blast to see these two welterweights start things off by touching gloves in the middle of the cage

Fans of mixed martial arts, tune in this Saturday to watch a fun event live from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. Rafael Fiziev and Rafael dos Anjos square off in a thrilling five-round lightweight matchup as the main event of UFC Vegas 79.

There are 10 additional fights on the bill in addition to the fantastic main event. We have a welterweight matchup between Andre Fialho and Tim Means on the preliminary card.

Tim Means vs. Andre Fialho Preview And Odds.

As the 39-year-old “Dirty Bird,” Tim Means doesn’t know how to do anything other than to charge forward and engage in a fun brawl in each of his 49 fights to date. Andre Fialho, another “kill or be killed” fighter, won his first two UFC matches via first-round submission less than a month apart.

On Saturday, it’s going to be a blast to see these two welterweights start things off by touching gloves in the middle of the cage, then proceed to beat the crap out of one another until someone is unable to continue.

Tim Means is a +154 underdog, While Andrew Fialho is at -185.

Means is 39 years old and he holds an all-time UFC record of 14-13, 1 NC overall. The American is a veteran of over 10 years inside the Octagon and he’s had a solid career as a UFC fighter.

However, he is getting up there in age and he enters this bout having lost his last three fights in a row. Looking closer at his record, his problems come mainly against grapplers. Against strikers, Means always has a chance to get the win due to his pace and technique.

The fact that Fialho is only 29 years old suggests that this battle will favour the Portuguese fighter. However, it is evident from his 2-4 UFC record, which includes defeats in his last three fights, that he has had difficulty in the Octagon. Fialho has strong knockout potential, therefore once the battle is still on the ground, he has a chance to prevail.

He enters this battle with Means having lost three consecutive fights, which is a significant issue facing a fellow striker, and his chin is a serious concern.

Means is a shrewd veteran fighter who can still crack despite his advanced age, and Fialho has a weak chin. Given that he’s lost three bouts in a row and is currently facing a striker, I’m not really sure why Fialho is favoured so much in this matchup.
