Bryce Mitchell vs. Dan Ige Preview and Odds

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is promoting and coordinating the mixed martial arts fight between Bryce Mitchell and Dan Ige. On September 23, 2023, this match will serve as the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 228.

Bryce Mitchell is at -160 as a slight favourite, while Dan Ige is coming out as slight underdog at 135

Mitchell hopes to begin his 2023 campaign after being denied the opportunity to compete at UFC 288. Jonathan Pearce was originally scheduled to be his opponent, but Pearce pulled out due to an injury. As a result, Mitchell was given Movsar Evloev as a replacement opponent but was ultimately forced to leave the fight due to a back injury.

Mitchell lost his first match as a professional in his most recent appearance this past December after being submitted by Ilia Topuria.

Ige, who has a 9-5 record inside the octagon, makes his 15th appearance in the UFC. The veteran featherweight has won his last two matches in a row, taking out Nate Landwehr and Damon Jackson.

Dan Ige is 5 cm shorter than Bryce Mitchell, who stands at 175 cm. Ige is the shorter fighter, although she possesses a reach that is longer by 2 cms than Mitchell’s, at 180 cm. Mitchell trails Ige by 7 cm in terms of ape index.

Mitchell has a 15-1 record going into this fight. His most recent contest, which he lost via two-round submission against Ilia Topuria, took place nine months and twelve days ago.

Ige enters with a 17-6 (5 KO) record. His most recent match was a three months and twelve days ago in which he defeated Nate Landwehr by unanimous decision after three rounds.

Both combatants adopt the traditional fighting position.

Mitchell will be 28 years and 11 months old on the day of the bout. Ige will turn 32 years old in a month.
