The third battle between Leon Edwards and Kamaru Usman was a close one.
Edwards defeated Usman by a majority decision in the main event of UFC 286 on Saturday, retaining his welterweight championship. All five rounds were competitive, but Edwards came out on top by a pair of judges’ decisions to take a 2-1 series lead.

After Edwards was docked a point in Round 3 for a flagrant cage grab on a Usman takedown attempt, the bout was completely altered. Edwards was warned multiple times during the fight, including once for a groyne strike and once for a glove grab, thus this offence was not an isolated incident.
As the momentum swung back and forth, the participants moved on to the championship rounds. Edwards seemed to get tired as the minutes wore on. With difficulty, though, the champion prevailed. After taking a deep breath before Round 5, Edwards began the round with some huge strikes, sending the audience into a frenzy and allowing him to continue his success from Round 4.

Kendra Lust has replied on Twitter to Kelvin Gastelum’s tweet agreeing to the fact that the fight between Leon Edwards vs Kamaru Usman in UFC 286 was indeed the fight of the night. As per Kendra’s opinion, she felt like Leon was landing more of bigger blows on Usman.
Kamaru definitely kept coming forward with pressure. But Leon managed to keep up his pace and perfectly land the planned leg kicks on Kamaru Usman.
