Jessica-Rose Clark, a former UFC fighter, is anticipating the next phase of her fighting career following her recent release.

After losing to Tainara Lisboa at UFC Fight Night: Rozenstruik vs. Almeida in May, Clark was removed from the UFC roster. Prior to the termination of her promotional contract, she had dropped three straight matches.

For the first time in a while, Clark is officially a free agent and considering her choices. One of them is a rematch with Paige VanZant, who she defeated in the UFC in 2018 by unanimous decision.

Jessica-Rose Clark Willing To Undertake Boxing

Clark is open to facing VanZant once more, but this time in the ring of combat. Clark proposed running it back with VanZant in another sport during a recent interview.

Following her defeat to Amanda Ribas at UFC 251, VanZant was let go by the UFC. She later competed twice in Bare Knuckle FC, losing to Britain Hart and Rachael Ostovich in quick succession.

Jessica-Rose Clark, a former UFC women’s bantamweight, seems to be done with mixed martial arts.

Clark wants to shift her attention to the striking arts now that she has left the top MMA promotion. Although Clark didn’t say it, she isn’t interested in continuing in mixed martial arts at this time in her career.

Despite having no professional boxing background, Clark displayed some outstanding striking when competing in the UFC. Her victory over Sarah Alpar was a contender for “Knockout of the Year” in 2020.

VanZant hasn’t reacted to Clark’s callout as of this writing, so Clark vs. VanZant may be forthcoming. In order for both women to resume their winning streaks in their respective careers, a rematch would make sense.

She has been losing interest in MMA, according to Clark. Because of this, the 35-year-old scheduled a bout with the Muay Thai promoter Lion bout for September 23 against an unnamed foe.
