Canelo Alvarez vs. Jermell Charlo  Referee And Judges

The contest will be officiated by Harvey Dock of New Jersey at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, according to the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Terence Crawford vs. Errol Spence Jr. and Devin Haney vs. Vasiliy Lomachenko were two undisputed championship fights that Dock, one of the top referees in the sport, previously officiated in 2023.

California’s Max De Luca, Oklahoma’s David Sutherland, and New Jersey’s Steve Weisfeld are the three individuals chosen to serve as ringside judges. Sutherland and Weisfeld most recently worked on Alvarez’s unanimous decision victory against Gennadiy Golovkin in September 2022. All three have previously judged Alvarez’s fights. It should be noted that Weisfeld also served as one of the three judges for Alvarez’s fight with Dmitry Bivol in May 2022, awarding Bivol the victory and handing Alvarez his first defeat since 2013. De Luca worked one other Alvarez fight, watching from the stands when Billy Joe Saunders was knocked out in the eighth round in 2021.

Harvey Dock will be paid $4,150 to officiate the 12-round title fight as scheduled. Max DeLuca, David Sutherland, and Steve Weisfeld will serve as the judges, and each will receive $2,950.

The WBC welterweight title fight between Yordenis Ugas and Mario Barrios will serve as the co-main event, and Tom Taylor ($2,250) will serve as the referee. Tim Cheatham, Chris Flores, and Steve Weisfeld ($1,950 apiece) will serve as judges.
