Georges St-Pierre hasn’t been inside the octagon for a while now. His last fight was back in 2017 when he took on Michael Bisping at UFC 217. ‘GSP’ won the UFC Welterweight gold on that night but proceeded to vacate the title and announce his retirement shortly after.

While there have been talks of a potential return over the years, nothing came to fruition. However, Georges St-Pierre recently named three fighters that he’d like to face if he ever stepped foot inside the octagon again. He said:
“If I had to come back and fight today, the three current fighters that I would choose to fight and I won’t because I don’t wanna come back, but if I would have come back, I would want to be the best. So, I would hunt the best guys. Maybe Usman, Chimaev and Khabib, if he would still be there.”

It’s safe to say that these matchups will be a treat to watch. However, the chances of these matchups actually happening were immediately shot down by ‘GSP’. While he named the three fighters he’d like to fight, Georges St-Pierre also made it clear that he will not return to the octagon. While suggesting that he doesn’t miss the sport at all, he said:
“Unfortunately, for me and the fans and everybody, it’s not gonna happen because I’m done and I don’t miss it at all.”
Fans have been wanting to ‘GSP’ return to the octagon for a while now. However, he has done everything there was to do in the sport and isn’t keen on returning back. He has certainly passed the torch onto the younger fighters who are now taking over the UFC like Khamzat Chimaev.
