UFC: How has Alex Pereira performed in the UFC so far?
A world champion Kickboxer, Alex Pereira, earned the UFC 185 lbs title within a few years of devoting himself into Mixed Martial Arts. The Brazilian fighter is currently 4-1 in the UFC and 7-2 as a pro-MMA fighter.
Pereira made his UFC debut in November 2021 and scored a KO over Andreas Michailidis. He then beat Bruno Silva in March 2022 via the decision to earn a shot at the top-ranked middleweights.
While Sean Strickland welcomed Pereira to the ‘Big Boys Club’, the fight went completely in favor of ‘Poatan’. Alex Pereora knocked Strickland out cold and grabbed a ticket to challenge his firmer nemesis from kickboxing, Israel Adesanya, for the UFC middleweight championship.
On November 2022, Alex Pereira knocked out Israel Adesanya to become the UFC middleweight champion at UFC 281. However, he lost it to Adesanya in the rematch.
With just one loss against a P4P great in the promotion, Pereira is already a reputed name. It remains t be seen whether he can cement similar dominance in the light heavyweight category.
