Men’s Singles 

World Championship bronze medallist Srikanth Kidambi has been seeded eighth in the tournament. Srikanth will face France’s Brice Leverdez in the first round. The quarter also has World No.1 Viktor Axelsen and Srikanth is likely to face the Danish player in the quarterfinals.

Meanwhile, India also has Sourabh Verma, who is placed in the second quarter. He will face Toma Junior Popa in the first round. HS Prannoy and Sai Praneeth find themselves in another quarter. Prannoy begins his campaign against Liew Daren, while Sai Praneeth will face Kantaphon Wangchaoren in the first round.

Men’s Doubles

In men’s doubles, Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, who were seeded fourth have withdrawn from the tournament. Ishan Bhatnagar and Sai Pratheek have ualified for the main draw in their place and they will face Japan’s Akira Koga and Taichi Saito in the first round. Manu Attri and Sumeeth Reddy are the other Indian pair in the same quarter.

Krishnaprasad Garaga and Vishnuvardhan Panjala are placed in another quarter and they face a qualifier in the first round. India will also have the participation of Shyam Prasad and S Sunjith in the same quarter.

In the fourth quarter, MR Arjun and Dhruv Kapila will face Chinese Taipei’s Lee-Je-huei and Yang Po-hsuan.

After leading India to the quarterfinals in Uber Cup, PV Sindhu enters the Thailand Open as the sixth seed. She will face a qualifier in the first round. Saina Nehwal too finds herself in the same quarter as PV Sindhu. Nehwal will begin her campaign against Korea’s Kim Ga-eun. The other seeded player in this quarter is second seed kane Yamugachi.

Doubles draw

In women’s doubles, Treesa Jolly is likely to make a comeback after missing the Uber Cup. She will partner with Treesa Jolly and they will face fifth seed Mayu Matsumoto and Wakana Nagahara in the first round. India also has Ashwini Bhat and Shikha Gautam in the same quarter. In the other quarter, Haritha Harinarayanan and Ashna Roy will face eighth seed Maiken Fruergaard and Sara Thygesen in the first round.

Mixed Doubles 

India’s mixed doubles pair Sumeeth Reddy and Ashwini Ponnappa will kickstart their campaign against Japan’s eighth seed Yuki Kaneko and Misaki Matsutomo. In the same quarter, India also has Mohamed Raju and Anees Jamaludeen. Ishan Bhatnagar and Tanisha Crasto and Venkat Gaurav Prasad and Juhi Dewangan are the other Indian in fray.
