The name Sunil Narine is familiar to every cricket fan and even more special for every KKR fan. The Caribbean cricketer achieved a record braking milestone as he created history in the game against Delhi Capitals today. Narine became the first-ever overseas bowler to pick up 150 wickets in IPL.
With his only wicket of the game, his 150th victim was Delhi Capital’s middle-order batter Lalit Yadav. Narine picked Yadav’s wicket on the last ball of the 11th over. A flighted delivery between the middle and off stump saw Yadav missing the line completely. The ball hits his pads and the umpire raises his finger as Narine creates the history.

The versatile all-rounder has been a veteran for the Kolkata outfits and has displayed his class both in batting as well as in bowling. However, IPL 2022 hasn’t been too great for him as Narine has failed to show his spark this season.

In the batting front, Narine hasn’t been that great this season. Out of the 9 games that he has played he has managed to score just 27 runs with a poor average of 4.50. However, the bowling front too has been quite good for Narine. With 7 wickets and a good economy of 5.30, Narine will be hoping to put up quite a few more stellar performances.
Though Delhi handed Kolkata their sixth loss in 9 games, it would be a game that Sunil Narine would remember for his life after achieving such a remarkable record.
