Virat Checks on Shaheen Shah Afridi
Both Virat Kohli and Shaheen Afridi were involved in their respective team’s net sessions in the past couple days as they prepared together. During the practice session on Thursday, both Virat and Afridi were spotted together as the former India captain checked on his injury and greeted him. They both shared great mutual respect for one another as well.
Both the Indian and Pakistani players and coaching staff have been greeting one anther as they share same training facilities in Dubai ahead of the blockbuster clash.
After sustaining a knee injury during the Test series against Sri Lanka, Shaheen Shah Afridi was unfortunate to miss out on the Asia Cup. While the management has taken the decision to protect him for the T20 World Cup, he is still traveling with the team.
Shaheen Afridi stays with Pakistan team despite injury
Despite of getting injured and being ruled out of Asia Cup 2022, Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi is staying put with the team in Dubai. According to media reports in Pakistan, Babar Azam requested Afridi to ‘STAY BACK’ with the Pakistan team for the entire duration of the event. Shaheen is currently undergoing knee treatment in Dubai. He will stay in the team hotel itself. Though any chance of Afridi playing in the tournament is already ruled out

India and Pakistan meet in high-voltage clash on Sunday
- India and Pakistan are all set to meet in the high-voltage clash on Sunday at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai.
