The ICC World Cup 2019 Opening Party ticket ballot is now open with 4,000 tickets available to fans viawww.cricketworldcup.com/opening-party. The registration for tickets will close on May 1.

The International Cricket Council has invited fans to apply for a maximum of two tickets in the ballot. The tickets are offered free of charge for the event, but the access to the venue will strictly be restricted to the ticket holders, ICC has stated in a Press release.

The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Opening Party is set to take place on the iconic London Mall on the evening of May 29, eve of the first match between hosts England and South Africa, who meet at The Oval, London on May 30.

The Opening Party will feature a live global TV broadcast and only a select group of lucky fans will attend the event to enjoy live music, sport and entertainment.

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 will begin with a bang as London’s iconic Mall plays host to a spectacular Opening Party on the eve of the first match between hosts England and South Africa. Only 4,000 fortunate fans at the venue and a global live broadcast audience will be treated to a music and sporting spectacular on May 29 in what will be the most celebrated start to an ICC Cricket World Cup ever.

Tickets will be allocated through a ballot system and applications are now open via www.cricketworldcup.com/opening-partyand will close on May 1. The lucky winners will be  notified on May 7. Subject to success, each applicant will be limited to two free tickets to ensure a fair process across the ballot stage and tickets will not be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.

Fans without tickets will not be able to attend the live event on The Mall.

The ‘not-to-be-missed’ live broadcast Opening Party will be a mix of music, dance and some of the biggest names in sport with a winner takes all sporting competition. The glittering event organised in partnership with The Royal Parks within the backdrop of Buckingham Palace, will be live broadcast around the world.
