In a recent move aimed at protecting the youth, Iraq has officially banned the widely-used online gaming platform Roblox. The Iraqi Communications Ministry announced this decision on October 19, 2025, citing significant concerns over child safety and the platform’s violation of social and moral values within the country.

The ministry highlighted that Roblox contains content deemed inappropriate, including sexual themes, profanity, and instances of online blackmail targeting minors.
