Verstappen Sr. has recently been in the spotlight for reasons unrelated to F1. Jos was arrested after a scuffle in a nightclub in Holland. The Dutch police confirmed that they had to arrest him as he refused to leave the club after the brawl.
He got into a fight while drinking at De Weerd Club. The club was in Rotermund. Local police said they learned about Verstappen’s brawl around 6 PM. After which they arrived at the scene. However, the Dutch police had to take him into custody.
Verstappen was engaged in a dispute with another person when a friend intervened. The people in the club who saw the incident stated. After his friend stepped in, things started to go south, and a fight ensued.

Jos was believed to have had facial injuries during the incident. The nightclub employees in Roermond ordered everyone involved in the fight to leave the place.
Later in the Dutch paper, it was stated that his lawyer said that Josh was the one who was being attacked. He was just waiting to be picked up when this scene happened. Verstappen’s Lawyer claimed that his client is innocent. He mentioned that this scene was traumatizing for Verstappen.
Jos Verstappen has a history of abusing women. He was even previously accused of trying to kill his ex-girlfriend. In an interview, Max Verstappen’s grandfather Frans opened up about how he was assaulted by his son Jos Verstappen.
