French GP Scandal: Organisers STOLE $28 Million during French Grand Prix; Formula 1, F1, Alpine Racing, Esteban Ocon, Piers Gasly, French GP

The race was already dropped out of the 2023 calendar last year, due to the non-renewal of the contract between Formula 1 and French Grand Prix Organisers. However, Stefano Domenicalli confirmed that fans will see the French GP in the upcoming rotations and the French GP is working towards the same.

Despite its historic significance, the French Grand Prix isn’t very fan-famous and the 2023 exit has caused even more dissatisfaction. Jean Alesi is known to be appointed, with the aim of bringing things back on track.

However, the former F1 driver has himself been involved in legal battles in the Avignon region. “Jean Alesi is the last man you would call to solve a problem like this. “But I suppose that is the French way of doing things.” said a team principal who formerly worked with Alesi.

In a recent interview, Alesi targeted President Macron for the downfall of sports in the country. The driver blamed politics for Formula 1’s decline, questioning the country’s authorities about the lack of support. Dismissing all the claims, Alesi said, “It’s probably the only F1 Grand Prix that has never had a president come to watch it.”

In regards to Alpine and its drivers, both Gasly and Ocon have been looking forward to their home race. However, the corruption scandal has left dark clouds over their probability of competing at the Circuit Paul Ricard. This is also a blow to the fans of Gasly and Ocon, who are waiting for their performance at the Le Castellet. Follow InsideSport on GOOGLE NEWS / Follow Formula 1 Updates with InsideSport.IN.
