Recently, a collection of media outlets revealed that Real Madrid has been in negotiations with PSG and Kylian Mbappe. They reported that Madrid wants to get the French international to La Liga without fail this year. However, Real Madrid put out a club statement contradicting this fact and denying that any negotiations are happening.

The club statement said:

“Given the information recently issued and published by different media outlets, in which there is speculation about alleged negotiations between the player Kylian Mbappe and our club, Real Madrid CF would like to state that this information is completely false and that no such negotiations have taken place with a player who belongs to PSG.”

Paris Saint-Germain have always claimed that Mbappe is the future of the club and that they have no intention of selling him to any potential suitors. PSG’s President Nasser Al-Khelaifi has maintained that PSG are not going to discuss Mbappe leaving Parc des Princes, and this has been the decision from all the top officials at the club.

When asked about Real Madrid’s latest statement, Paris Saint-Germain’s president said:

“I haven’t seen their statement, we’re all focused on ourselves and our football, not on others. Kylian continues to achieve great things and maybe people take him for granted, but nobody has played two World Cup finals and even scored a hat-trick. I’ll say it again: Kylian is the best in the world, and it’s great to see him at the helm of PSG and France. He’s having a positive effect on our young people, helping us to build our future.”

The La Liga giants seemed to have played down the rumours about making a move for Kylian Mbappe, but they will likely do so sometime in the future. Madrid has always had the intention to get Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid at some stage. While PSG will not back down without a fight and will try to get Mbappe to sign a new contract, Mbappe will likely join the La Liga giants in the future.
