Kylian Mbappe’s mum says he liked AC Milan as a kid
In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Fayza Lamari, has now spoken up about what he was like as a youngster. She said, ‘When he came home, he only ever talked about Milan. If they lost, he would throw the remote control at the television and shout insults in Italian.’
It seems as though Kylian Mbappe was a fan of the Rossoneri in his formative years. AC Milan were quite a huge team while Kylian was growing up. They have been up on the charge in the last couple of years too.
Kylian Mbappe was a tremendous supporter of Milan, which was one of the most surprising revelations. On Wednesday evening, PSG will face the seven-time European winners in Paris. But it didn’t stop Fayza from revealing her son’s past love for the Serie A team.
Mbappe, 24, prospered over the international break, scoring three goals and assisting once in France’s two games. Kylian Mbappe followed that up with a penalty in PSG’s 3-0 win over Strasbourg last weekend. The result places them third in Ligue 1, two points behind leaders Monaco.
Luis Enrique’s team still need to recover in the Champions League after losing 4-1 to Newcastle last time out. PSG fell in the final to Bayern Munich in 2020, but advanced to the last four the following season. However, they have been eliminated in the final 16 in each of the last two seasons. They will be hoping that Kylian Mbappe comes good vs AC Milan on Wednesday.
Mbappe’s future in doubt
After telling the Ligue 1 champions he wouldn’t commit his future to the team, Kylian Mbappe was benched from the Parisians’ first team for the entirety of the summer. As a result, the 24-year-old was assigned to a group of undesirables, and many people anticipated that he would depart from Parc des Princes.
However, following fruitful negotiations, Luis Enrique’s side welcomed back PSG’s all-time leading scorer. According to SPORT, the Parisians are still hoping to renew their frontman’s contract.

PSG are willing to grant Kylian Mbappe a one-year contract extension. This is in the hopes that he will take a short-term pact.
If the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner declines the offer, it will be a clear indication that his time in Paris is coming to an end. Mbappe has been at PSG since 2018, when he was signed for €180 million from AS Monaco.
