Golden Boy Neeraj Chopra to attend Bengaluru FC’s ISL clash against Punjab FC

After being designated as JSW brand ambassador, Golden Boy Neeraj Chopra will attend Bengaluru FC’s ISL 2023-24 fixture against Punjab FC at Kanteerava Stadium.

Olympic gold medalist Neerja Chopra will be in attendance as Bengaluru FC face Punjab FC at Sree Kanteerava Stadium. The Bengaluru FC vs Punjab FC ISL 2023-24 clash, which already had immense interest around it, is scheduled on 30th November at 8.00 PM IST. Chopra will be attending the event after being named as the brand ambassador for JSW Group which Bengaluru FC is a part of.

Chopra has had a fantastic year, becoming the first Indian athlete to win a gold medal at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest this August. He followed in the footsteps of his idol Jan Jelezny, who held both the Olympic and world titles at the same time. He then retained his gold title in the Asian Games in October.

His stellar performance this year propelled him into the top 11 nominees for the Men’s World Athlete of the Year. Chopra has now made it to the shortlist of five names. Thus putting him in strong contention to join the club that includes Usain Bolt, Carl Lewis, and Michael Johnson. The winners will be revealed on December 11th.

Bengaluru FC will be thinking about resurgence when they welcome Punjab FC at Sree Kanteerava, with Golden Boy Neeraj Chopra in attendance. Last year, Simon Grayson arguably performed the impossible by leading his team to the final. However, the magic appears to have worn off. Bengaluru FC would want to get their season back on track as soon as possible.

The Blues are sitting in eighth place with only one victory, three draws, and three defeats in ISL 2023-24. Despite boasting one of the league’s top attacking lineups, the Blues have failed to light up the attack. Thus scoring only seven goals in as many games.

The squad will be keen to make amends and return to winning ways, knowing that every point counts in ISL. With the presence of Neeraj Chopra adding to the players’ drive for a stellar win.
