It hasn’t been the start that Mumbai City FC was expecting from the brand new Indian Super League (ISL 2024-25) season. But ace midfielder Jeremy Manzorro begs to differ. The French Midfielder is confident about his sides chances in lifting a couple of silverware at the end of the season.
It has been a rather slow start for Mumbai City so far. The Islanders have managed 2 draws, 1 loss, and 1 win. Their first win of the campaign came in their previous game against FC Goa away from home.

“I got injured on the first day of the training. But now everything is fine. It has been over 2 months since I joined the side and I feel good and can help my side. Now the ambition is to remain injury free, play lots of matches and win titles for the club” Jeremy Manzorro told InsideSport exclusively.
The French midfielder signed for Mumbai City FC earlier this season after ending his spell with Jamshedpur FC. But now Jeremy is happy at his new club. He is determined to remain fit and start matches for the club as he wishes to bring out his magic at the Mumbai Football Arena.
“Mumbai City FC is from the City Group and they are a huge club. The organization is much more professional. Jamshedpur FC is a good club, but now I am very happy here,” The French midfielder added.
Taking positives from a slow Start
Albeit a slow start, Jeremy is happy. He believes that it is easier to continue winning after a slow start. But on the contrary, it becomes very difficult to hold on to the momentum if a team starts losing after a string of very strong performances.
“After a slow start, you can’t make any mistakes. You need to win all the games to finish at the top of the table. Sometimes it is better to start like this as it helps in the momentum continuing.“

The Mumbai City FC star spoke very highly about his manager Petr Kratky. The midfielder added how the gaffer is a fair person and takes time to understand every individual. He further revealed how Petr convinced him to join the club after the latter’s stint with Jamshedpur FC ended.
“He is a very professional coach, a good person. He is also fair and this is important for a manager. He is taking a time to understand the people. I didn’t know him previously, but he called and convinced me to join the team. And this is very important for any player,” Manzorro added.
A Strong Team makes a Happy Team
Manzorro is very happy with his current squad. He spoke highly about his teammates, claiming each player in the team to be a good person. Furthermore, being a leader in the team, he often helps the youngsters in choosing the right path and is happy to contribute to his team’s success in any way.
“Everyone welcomed me well. We have a good team where everyone understands that we need to be on the same page if we want to achieve the target. The Indian contingent is very strong, as we have quality players in the team. But most importantly, every one of them are good people,” Jeremy Manzorro concluded.
