PUBG Mobile India comeback update: PUBG India Private Limited is now registered and a legitimate company in India. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has approved PUBG India Private Limited.  The company is already listed on the ministry’s website with a valid Corporate Identity Number (CIN) and registered office is in Bengaluru.

The directors of the Indian company are Kumar Krishnan Iyer and Hyunil Sohn. The company was incorporated on November 21, 2020 in Karnataka with a paid up capital of Rs 5 lakh and authorised capital of Rs. 15 lakh as subsidiary of foreign company. Iyer is also the director of eight other companies including Accuweather India Private Limited.

What does this mean for PUBG Launch in India ?
As the ministry has approved the company, it means the comeback is possible and corporation can operate in India very soon. Like any other business, the game can operate its India office and start their operations.

It will be a new game created specifically for the Indian market.

Though they still may be asked to take approvals from another Ministry (MEITY). Under the orders of MEITY PUBG and other Chinese Apps were banned in the country.

Why to start new company in India ?

After the ban in India, the game had announced an Indian version but still wasn’t enough to satisfy the corridors of the Indian government. To further fulfill government criteria and pacify the Indian government, PUBG has now registered their Indian company with Indian director.

The company is registered under directors:
– KUMAR KRISHNAN IYER:
Has directorship in 10 companies including Spotify India and AccuWeather.
– Sean (Hyunil) Sohan)
Is head of Corporate Development at KRAFTON/PUBG Corp.

According to a post by LiquipediaMemphiz on Instagram, the registered as a company on November 21, 2020.

It is likely that all transactions of Indian version and other operations of the Corporation will happen through this Indian subsidiary. Or to put it in other words, this means that the Corporation has begun the process of setting up full-fledged operations within India.

Big 100 Million dollar investment

The Corporation has $100 Million USD Investment as promised seems to be coming and we can hope to see the esports scene in India back on track with the game that driving it mainstream.

The game is looking to hire software engineers for the game to be developed further locally. This job posting on LinkedIn will possibly be one of many to come. It looks like the Corporation is well on its way to fulfill its promises of developing the gaming and esports industry in India.
