The Twitch TV meta is receiving a lot of heat amidst DMCA claims that have begun targeting faulty Twitch streamers. Critics from all corners are taking a dig on reaction streamers. This is happening at a time when Pokimane received a 48-hour ban from Twitch for watching the anime Avatar: The Last Airbender, while HasanAbi faced a DMCA strike for streaming MasterChef. Many streamers have withdrawn from the meta and deleted the VODs from their channels to safeguard their account and streaming careers. After Pokimane’s return, she discussed at length the harsh comments that reaction streamers were facing and defended on being called “lazy”.

Youtuber Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg talked about the recent DMCA drama during his livestream and joked about the same. When asked by one of his viewers regarding the latest Twitch TV meta and why streamers were calling risks upon themselves he jokingly responded to the comment. He cracked into laughter followed by a sarcastic reply.

“Oh, you watched Avatar: The Last Airbender on Twitch? See that’s a lie because no one would be dumb enough to do that,” he exclaimed before blankly staring off to the side of his camera.

He didn’t elaborate much on the matter but he continued smiling revealing the fun he had addressing the issue. He isn’t the first to mock these star streamers. Much before him, YouTuber Ludwig had uploaded a video acknowledging the dangers associated with TV meta and warned the streamers of a potential DMCA strike.

It appears YouTuber PewDiePie would talk about it in detail in his future videos, but for now it’s clear he has a disliking towards reaction contents.
