Since his arrival on YouTube, Dr Disrespect has continued his occasional mocking of other content creators and games. Apart from his gameplays, his fans also like him for his raging and hilarious takes on various such topics. He also takes jabs on YouTube on how they should improve their platform to make it more like Twitch.

This time it happened again. Ryan ‘Fwiz’ Wyatt, YouTube’s Head of Gaming, and Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop, co-owner of 100 Thieves were talking about NFTs and their impact on the future. While they discussed it on Twitter through their tweets, Dr Disrespect dropped by and mocked Fwiz to “focus on gifted memberships and clips technology from 2009.”

Dr Disrespect jokingly mocks Fwiz and YouTube’s outdated features

While Fwiz and CouRage were having their conversation about NFTs, their value, and future potential, Dr Disrespect just bombed the talks by coming and mocking Fwiz. He told that CouRage could call him on the flip phone to “talk about the future of NFTs and gaming.” In this way, Fwis will be able to focus on improving “gifted memberships and clips technology from 2009.”

YouTube’s clip feature is still relatively new and it is leagues behind that of Twitch’s. Moreover, YouTube only recently announced gifted subs and raids as a feature that will be coming to the platform in 2022.

Fwiz also replied to this mocking by telling how YouTube has been built as the world’s largest gaming platform even without the mentioned features. He even taunted Dr Disrespect by saying to him “Surely someone of your map design prestige skill can appreciate that. Glad you didn’t prioritize our products.”

Such light-hearted back and forth between YouTube and Twitch streamers or even within the community has become common as both of these platforms are focusing on developing and acquiring popular streamers. The battle between them might heat up even more in 2022.
