Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are currently taking on Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the final of the IPL 2025 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on June 3 (Tuesday). RCB have reached the final for the first time since 2016, and have the golden opportunity to win their fist-ever IPL trophy and finally end their 18-year-long wait. PBKS won the toss and decided to bowl first, as RCB will habe to set a target. However, one of the key players in their arsenal, explosive Australian batter Tim David is not playing the all-important final.
Why Tim David is not playing IPL final?
Tim David suffered a hamstring injury while fielding at fine leg during RCB’s final IPL 2025 league stage game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). He was immediately taken off the field. He has since missed both the matches in the playoffs for the side- the Qualifier 1 and now the all-important final.
