Despite the rumours of being dropped owing to his poor IPL form, Hardik Pandya has been named in India’s T20 World Cup squad as the vice-captain. The BCCI on Tuesday announced the 15-member squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA & and the West Indies.
Fans not happy with Hardik Pandya’s selection
According to previous reports, Rishab Pant was touted as the front-runner to be Rohit Sharma’s deputy in T20 World Cup 2024. Aside from being disappointing with both bat and ball, Pandya has led MI to six humiliating defeats in nine games. Pandya has gone hot and cold, hitting 197 runs and taking only four wickets in nine games. Thus, the selection of Hardik Pandya garnered quite some criticism from supporters.
