Potential India coach Gautam Gambhir provides blunt response to Rohit-Virat’s retirement from T20Is

Speaking to reporters after the T20 World Cup final, Gambhir congratulated Rohit and Kohli for capping off incredible careers in T20Is.

In the T20 World Cup 2024 final on Saturday against South Africa, Virat Kohli showed his mettle under Rohit Sharma’s command. A brilliant knock for Rohit and company was produced by Kohli, who peaked for India at the ideal moment. India put an end to its protracted wait for an ICC title. Rohit and Virat both announced their retirement from T20 cricket after the WC win. Former India opener Gautam Gambhir thanked Rohit and Kohli for their outstanding contributions to Indian cricket. The reaction is significant because Gambhir is tipped to be the next Team India coach after Rahul Dravid.
