On Thursday, September 21, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Ansha Afridi hosted their lavish walima reception in Islamabad. The event was a grand affair, graced by a constellation of distinguished personalities from the cricketing world and beyond. Aside from the mentioned cricket stars, the event also featured the presence of Naseem Shah, Fakhar Zaman, and Mohammad Rizwan, who added to the joy of the occasion with their warm wishes and congratulations.

Cricketing icons including Shoaib Akhtar and Ramiz Raja also attended the reception, showing their presence at the celebration of their close friend Shahid Afridi’s daughter and extending their warm wishes to the newlywed couple.

Shaheen was dressed in a traditional all-black three-piece suit with a matching shirt, as is customary for Pakistani grooms during their walima reception. However, the family maintained strict privacy regarding sharing pictures of the bride.

The wedding festivities of Shaheen Afridi and Ansha Afridi began on Tuesday, September 19 in Karachi, and this reception was a grand follow-up to their union. Their wedding celebrations have been a topic of discussion in town.

Shaheen Afridi’s wedding festivities began with a mehendi ceremony on Monday. Shaheen married Ansha, the daughter of the legendary all-rounder Shahid Afridi, back in February of this year. The nikkah was solemnized at a local mosque in Karachi in the presence of close relatives from both families. The couple’s engagement had already taken place two years ago.

After the ceremony, Shaheen Afridi will begin his preparations for the ODI World Cup 2023, set to commence on October 5. The tournament’s first match for Pakistan is scheduled for October 6 in Hyderabad against the Netherlands. The high-voltage India vs Pakistan clash will take place on October 14 in Ahmedabad.
