The Chinese mobile phone maker company has come under the scanner for money laundering. The Enforcement Directorate has been quite active in the last few days. They have conducted massive searches across 48 of their premises and 23 associated companies.

“Planned advertising and promotion activities involving Kohli are being put on hold till there is clarity on where the investigation is headed,” one of the executives was quoted as saying in The Economic Times. The same report also stressed that Kohli’s team was also not comfortable with the cricketer being showed in their ads after all the things that been unfurling with the VIVO Mobiles.
ON Thursday, the ED had also blocked over 100 bank accounts related to VIVO India business. Next day, VIVO acted swiftly and appealed in the High Court after ED freezed their accounts.
