The latest edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) came to end on Sunday (May 26) with KKR lifting the trophy. Several players showcased their talent in the franchise-based tournament and grabbed the limelight due to their prolific performances. Sunil Narine, Abhishek Sharma, Virat Kohli (Top Order)
The destructive duo of Sunil Narine and Virat Kohli open the innings. While Kohli won the Orange Cap after amassing 741 runs in 15 innings, Narine finished at the 9th spot for most runs in IPL 2024. The left-handed batter amassed 488 runs in just 14 innings. Narine had a strike rate of 180 in IPL 2024. Abhishek Sharma had one of the most productive seasons this year. The left-handed batter amassed 484 runs with an astounding strike rate of 204.22.
Riyan Parag, Heinrich Klaasen (Middle-Order)
Riyan Parag also showcased his true potential with the bat. Parag finished on the third spot for most runs list in IPL 2024. He scored 573 runs at an average of 52 and a strike rate of almost 150.
Destructive batter Heinrich Klaasen comes in next. Klaasen looked in ominous touch during the start of IPL 2024. However, his form dipped a touch as the tournament progressed. He scored 479 runs in 16 innings at an average of 39.92. He had a strike rate of 171.07.
Andre Russell, Pat Cummins (Lower-Order)
KKR veteran all-rounder, Andre Russell comes in next. In IPL 2024, Russell came out to bat only nine times, but he amassed 222 runs at a good strike rate of 185. Apart from his batting antics, Russell was more than handy with the ball scalping 19 wickets. Skipper of the IPL team of the tournament, Pat Cummins is slated in next. Under his leadership, SRH reached the final’s of IPL 2024 but failed to lift the cup.
Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Harshal Patel, Varun Chakravarthy (Bowlers)
Speaking about the bowling department, pacers Harshal Patel (Purple cap winner) and Jasprit Bumrah (20 wickets) will lead the bowling attack. On the other hand, Varun Chakravarthy (21 wickets) and ace spinner Kuldeep Yadav will complete our IPL 2024 team of the tournament.
