Virat and Anushka have previously protected and maintained a firm stance regarding not revealing the face of their daughter. However, during the match, young Vamika in the arms of her mother was caught on camera a couple of times. The former Indian team skipper, Kohli dedicated his 64th ODI fifty to her daughter during the match.

As the pictures of Vamika Kohli, the 1-year-old daughter who celebrated her first birthday earlier this month went viral, the Bollywood star Anushka Sharma took to social media to showcase her displeasure. She wrote, “Hi guys! We realise that our daughter’s images were captured at the stadium yesterday and widely shared thereafter. We want to inform everyone that we were caught off guard and didn’t know that the camera was on us. Our stance and request on the matter stays the same. We would really appreciate if Vamika’s images are not clicked/published for reasons we have explained earlier. Thank you.”

Vamika was first spotted in the first innings of the game when India was fielding. Later she was spotted in the second innings when her father was batting. Both Virat and Anushka have previously requested the media and the paparazzi to not click pictures of their daughter to keep her away from the limelight and to protect her privacy.
Virat was extremely angry ahead of the India tour of England when the media clicked Vamika’s picture. Even last month when the Indian team was traveling to South Africa, Kohli requested the cameramen to not click pictures of their daughter. After repeated requests, Viruska was visually upset when they found out that pictures of their little toddler became viral.
