Untested & Undercooked Pakistan to finally announce squad for T20 World Cup on May 23

With deadline fast approaching, Pakistan Cricket Board likely to announce Pakistan Cricket Team squad on 23rd May

The Pakistan Cricket Team is finally set to announce it’s 15-member squad for the ICC T20 World Cup. With just 2 days remaining, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is to announce the squad on 23rd May, a day prior to the deadline. Pakistan would be presenting a rather untested and undercooked squad after the ENG vs PAK 1st T20I clash at Leeds got washed off.

Ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup, Pakistan have played just 3 T20I matches against Ireland. They lost the first match but went on to strike a strong comeback to win the series 2-1. But the series against England is extremely crucial. With the first game washed off, PCB would be announcing a rather untested side.

Untested squad for Pakistan?

As per reports in Pakistan, Salman Ali Agha, Hasan Ali and Mohammad Irfan will be snubbed from the team. This means the trio won’t be a part of the 15-member squad. Abrar Ahmed and Saim Ayub are the two youngster who are likely to be included in the setup.

It would be interesting to watch the combination of youth with experience which would be brought on by players like Mohammad Amir and skipper Babar Azam. Imad Wasim and Mohammad Rizwan will also be vital cogs in the set up in Pakistan Cricket Team.

Pakistan Predicted Squad: Babar Azam (C), Abrar Ahmed, Azam Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imad Wasim, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Rizwan, Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Usman Khan.
