Chennai Super Kings batter Ajinkya Rahane’s poor form in IPL 2024 continues. The opener failed to get going against PBKS as he became Arshdeep Singh’s victim in the second over of the game at Dharamshala. Despite featuring in all games for CSK so far, Rahane has consistently failed to perform, with a high score of just 45 runs.
End of road for Ajinkya Rahane?
Rahane’s dismissal in the game against PBKS was a soft one, with Rabada completing an easy catch. After faring exceptionally well in IPL 2023, there was high expectations on the batter. However, he has failed miserably at the top of the order, proving to be more of a liability than an asset for Ruturaj Gaikwad and co. It will not be surprising if CSK decide to drop the veteran for the reminder of the games in the season.
