Tilak Varma steers India’s innings with fighting fifty after early setbacks in 2nd T20I vs England

Tight batting from the start! Tilak Varma completed his half-century with a six against England in the second T20I at MA Chidambaram Stadium

While wickets were falling at one end, Tilak Varma held his grip and stamped a half-century in the short run chase against England in second T20I. India, who faced some setbacks early with Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma both departing quickly, found stability. First with Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav and then with Washington Sundar, Varma held the game together, continuing their fight against the Three Lions in the second T20I at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

Sanju Samson and Suryakumar Yadav struggled against England’s Hitting the length bowlers, but Tilak Varma everyone on remand as after spending some time at the crease, he completely dominated the quicks, reaching his fifty with five sixes, including a scoop shot to Jofra Archer that landed in the second tier
